#GivingTuesday for Have Dreams

#GivingTuesday for Have Dreams

Thank you to the families that had some fun with the annual Vossberg Gainor holiday mini sessions to give back to a local nonprofit. This #GivingTuesday, it’s an honor to be able to donate to Have Dreams, a local nonprofit that helps children, teens and adults impacted by autism.

It was an honor to capture these families and look forward to helping another nonprofit next year!

Enjoy some of these family portraits captured in Park Ridge, IL.

Vossberg Gainor assisted the Franklin PTA with media outreach to celebrate the accomplishments of the students as they raised more than $36,000 in fundraising through their events with the Kindness Walk, while giving back to others.  The students and principal Dr. DeLaMar were featured on ABC 7 Chicago and in the Chicago Tribune.

Franklin students reach kindness goal and principal fulfills her promise

PARK RIDGE, IL, November 1, 2019 – When challenged with a goal in their “Secret Agents of Kindness” fundraiser, Franklin Elementary students went hog wild. And because they met their goal, Principal Marybeth Whitney-DeLaMar followed through on her promise to kiss a pig on Friday afternoon.

“I’m sure the kids liked it much better than I did. But it was totally worth it. The program was a great success and the students learned some lessons in kindness.” said DeLaMar, after kissing Pip the pig.

The event was the culmination of the annual Franklin PTA fundraiser. Designed to teach students the importance of kindness and gratitude while raising funds that benefit their school, it kicked off with an assembly on September 23 and included a Dance-A-Thon on October 11.

“Having the opportunity to see our children get excited about giving back and helping others is so heartwarming to see as a parent.” said Laura Gainor, Franklin PTA President. “We’re grateful our volunteers have organized this type of fundraiser.”

During the program, students collected pledges and completed 1,544 acts of kindness, contributed 555 sack lunches for Uncle Pete’s and donated 1,440 books to Bernie’s Book Bank. In total, they raised $36,006 for the PTA.

So, what’s it like to kiss a pig?

“It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I’d do it again for this kind of response,” the Principal said. “We’re very grateful Animal Quest brought Pip the pig to our school today so the kids could enjoy this experience.”

Announcing the Launch of Vossberg Gainor

Announcing the Launch of Vossberg Gainor

Today is a bittersweet as I officially announce the launch of VossbergGainor.com!

After having the opportunity to lead Serve Marketing for the last 3 years and be a part of helping so many non-profit organizations, and during that time traveling between Chicago and Milwaukee, it is with great excitement that my own marketing consulting agency is born.

With the company name including my family name that I had so much pride having and working my way through art school, early career in advertising agency jobs and then meeting my other half who also has a passion for marketing and helping others, Brian Gainor.

@VossbergGainor will allow me to continue to help brands and individuals with their marketing, serve on local boards to help non-profits, and be close to the mini executives of Vossberg Gainor: Clara & Garrett!

Coincidentally a picture popped up of them from 3 years ago at my Serve desk. So many incredible memories getting them involved and teaching them how to give back. I look forward to utilizing Vossberg Gainor to continue to teach them the importance of helping others and that it’s possible to enjoy all of it while working hard and still having the time to focus on the important things in life: family.

Here’s to thanking so many that have helped me get to this point and excited for what’s to come! Thank you to Gary Mueller and Lauren Sutter for all the Serve memories. A volunteer for life!

Cheers!

Laura Gainor
