Today’s SquarePik featured photo of the day is in celebration of @BrianGainor‘s birthday. Since meeting Brian, we’ve been huge supporters of discovering new areas and trying new things. When asking what restaurant we should go to celebrate Brian’s birthday, thanks to @AndrewWiech, we were directed to La Estacion in Waukesha. The restaurant is an old train station transformed into a colorful and cozy little Mexican joint. The waiters were great and unfortunately Brian convinced them to not sing happy birthday when delivering his free dessert.

It was a great birthday celebration and we continue to discover new places around Milwaukee as I introduce Brian to areas of the city. If you have additional recommendations on restaurants we should venture to, I would love to hear them.

As for restaurant recommendations, I’m chalked full of them. Give me an area and a cuisine and I’ll see what I come up with.
If you are looking for more Mexican in the Brookfield area, you should check out Haute Taco on Capitol. They have great food and they use a lot of fresh ingredients.
