As I’m driving to work, brainstorming client strategies, walking through stores and around town and while I’m sleeping (ok, maybe just a few dreams), I think about different ways I can utilize stickybits to create digital media campaigns.
More and more there are various barcode technologies being developed where we can add digital media to physical objects around the world. These types of technologies get my mind spinning with tons of ideas and it blows my mind how far social media has evolved with opening creative marketing outlets for businesses. It’s vital that businesses start taking advantage of these tools, and more importantly, stand out from the rest of the competition by planning smart strategies on how to use them most effectively.
Creative design is very important, and one of the key advantages of stickybits, for distributing your brand through digital media. To display a design example of making a “stickybit” your own brand, I’ve designed and created my “Laura Gainor” personal branding stickybit, which will live in the right sidebar of my blog, and will be updated with links to articles, photos, videos and various personal branding content.
Your company can simply download one of the unique barcodes from the stickybits website, and incorporate the barcode with your logo and company design scheme. The creative possibilities are what you make of the design, as well as the content you include on your barcodes to distribute to your followers.
Has your company been using barcode readers within your marketing strategies? If you’re following these technologies within social media, what brands are you most impressed with?
