Happy Follow Friday! It has been another great week in the social media space. This week I wanted to give special mentions to some people, and a particular cat, for their expertise in sports and social media.
Jason Peck – @JasonPeck
Jason is the founder of Highway 24 Media, LLC and North Hills Buzz and product manager at eWayDirect. Jason runs a personal blog called “Take a Peck,” which focuses on sports business, sponsorship, new media and social networking.
Jason is a true entrepreneur and a genuine social media expert. He brings a lot of great ideas that are recognized by other professionals in his field.
The Panthers Purrsuit – @PanthrsPurrsuit
One of my favorite cats is the Carolina Panthers mascot, Sir Purr. This cat has gone social and working hard on entertaining the Charlotte community.
The Panthers Purrsuit, a one-day social media challenge, will take place on October 23! Find clues. Complete challenges. Earn points. Win prizes.
I personally wish I could be in Charlotte for this social challenge. Are you attending? Stay tuned for more followup details on social media activities from the event.
Russell Scibetti – @rscibetti
Russell is the Senior Manager of Database Marketing and CRM at New York Jets, responsible for creating, managing and reporting on all direct sales campaigns, building in-depth consumer profiles, and generating consumer and corporate sales leads for New Jets Stadium
Russell is also the Founding Editor of TheBusinessOfSports.com, an industry blog discussing current events and best practices in sports business.
Thanks for mentioning The Panthers Purrsuit, Laura. You’re the Purrfect fan!
Contestants can earn their first Purrsuit Points this weekend — details available on the Purrsuit Facebook Page. Good luck, everyone!
Thanks Scott! I just saw the details >> Visit any Allen Tate open houses in Charlotte today to earn points.
Great work on this promotion to all involved. It will be fun to follow all of the activities.
